Built around the middle of the 12th century, it was first chapel of the castle. It had only the bell tower and the current pillars. The choir was under the tower, extended by a cul-de-four apse.
During the 13th century, the chapel was enlarged by a new architect, the apse demolished and replaced by two new bays. He pierces the walls, builds a vault, opens the semicircular windows.
In 1810 the current choir was built.
Between 1875 and 1880 important restoration works were carried out: widening of the windows, retailing of the pillars, construction of the sacristy.
On July 7, 1899 the church is classified as a historical monument.
During the 20th century the roofs were several times redone (storms of 1910 and 1968).
In 1983 the west facade was completely rebuilt due to infiltrations, a new stained glass window was installed, the gutters were paved, the copper gutters installed and the entrance staircase replaced.
In February 2004, a new restoration project began: the bell tower was redone and the facades renovated. The work was completed in 2009 with the complete restoration of the interior of the church!
